The flowers of this mystical herb are most attractive to earth’s essential pollinating bumblebee and hummingbird. White sage is found along the mountainous Pacific Coast of the Baja Peninsula of Mexico and the state of California. For centuries, it has been known to Native Americans as the most “Sacred Sage.” Today, its cultural use continues to be both sacrosanct and ceremonial. White sage can be used to dissipate negative energy and to heal the mind, body and spirit. When burned, the herb’s scent denotes a deep woodsy grass. Many find its uplifting fragrance will elevate one’s mood and outlook. It is also beneficial in ridding the air of pollutants and allergens.
