This nearly celadon green quartz was very popular among mid-20th Century artists. Used in the hand forged creation of Scottish dirks and swords, it also served as a popular adornment of many an ancient Roman. No wonder citrine translates as the French word for lemon. The joyful color and the fruit are common in both French art and jewelry. This translucent pastel gem boosts harmony, happiness, optimism and generosity. It is the birthstone of November but also is uplifting Aries, Gemini, Leo and Libra signs. Citrine graciously opens up all seven chakras. It is considered to be a friend to others as it works collectively with red jasper and garnet. This citrine in its natural state is simply lovely.
