Jadeite refers to the superior quality of one of two distinct types of jade. Jade’s importance dates back seven thousand years to the skills of tool-making, weaponry, a variety of artistry and personal adornment. Meso America’s glorious Mayan and Aztec civilizations added medicinal uses to the aforementioned practices. Today’s finest jadeite is found in Myanmar (Burma) and is highly desired. While jadeite energizes all chakras, it is considered a strong grounding stone but is most associated with the Heart Chakra.
