Here on Earth, basalt is created in the lava which flows from volcanic eruptions. Not surprising, more than fifty percent of the ocean’s floor is basalt.  Like other minerals associated with the Root Chakra, basalt encourages balance, harmony, and brightness as it reduces apathy and gloom.
