Many measures are taken to achieve the beauty of cherry quartz.  The stone is created through a multi-step process.  Quartz is crushed, heated and then reconstituted with cinnabar, an ancient jewelry pigment. The end result is a splendid glass crystal exhibiting an array of red tones which range from bright cherry to persimmon and the soft mocha pink viewed here.  As with all quartz, cherry  is a high energy charging mineral best used to restore balance, stability and vitality. Often used in healing practices, it can boost one’s vibration and energy. Helpful to all the chakras, it is a stone most akin to the Libra zodiac.
